Hello from a Finnish person who lived in Nepal for a while. Most Finnish people speak good English, so don't be afraid to ask for directions. There are many medicines that you can buy without prescription and it's not all that expensive, however the rents can be more expensive than 300 e a month. The spices aren't like in Nepal (coming from a Finn who loved Nepali food), so I'd bring those. The education system in Finland is high standard and we have many international students and teachers in our universities. I speak ali ali Nepali and very good English, so I can help you, too, if you have questions. I'll try to check this page and can give my email, too, if needed.

I think Laptop are cheaper here than in Nepal coz.I have purchase my Laptop in 500 euro with this configuration: Acer 15.4 inch, 4 GB DDR2 RAM, Dual core AMD 1.99 GHz processor, 250 GB hard disk, web cam, bluetooth, cardreader etc.I think Laptop with such components are very expensive in Nepal than in Finland.Online shopping are cheaper than supermarket.

I like secondhand shops. Believe me or not, most of the stuffs you may need in your daily lives such as clothes (I can't find jeans pants :(, furnitures, kitchen utensils (except pressure cooker), plugs, even cable etc. can be found from there at cheaper prices than in Nepal.

About electronic goods, please don't forget to bring a network cable for internet connection, its very expensive here. Last year there was a lot of discussion about suit. I didn't bring one but I think a pair of suit is utmost important if you are attending an interview or if your are in a presentation.
I would also emphasize on a pair of scissors and hair cutting machine. It costs 20 euros for a hair cut here.

carry as much as spices you can. That is the most here. add utensils(very important).add two kind of jackets. north face kind(i recommend to go to thamel side) and wind proof normal jacket. then u r here. if possible try to carry small momo pot, as much as nepali achar.
